On behalf of the Board of directors, and the PRCDC team, it is with great pleasure that I present to you our 2007-2008 Annual Report.

 

As seen in the past, the Prescott-Russell Community Development Corporation continues to deliver its mandate ; to encourage the development and diversification of the local economy. At the same time, we are positioned to provide programs and services that balance the social, economic and entrepreneurship implications for sustainable economic development.

 

It goes without saying that the financial crisis that has spread around the world will have an impact on the growth potential of businesses and organizations in Prescott-Russell.

 

However, thanks to the rigor and tenacity of our management and administration, we are ready to face this situation with the development of our 2009 action plan.

 

Through our actions, we will continue to stimulate our economy, create and sustain jobs, support our entrepreneurs and businesses and we will especially continue to ensure the economic growth of the Prescott-Russell region! Even if our economy has many challenges, it may also have great opportunities for the future.

 

As a CFDC, we must know how to respond to the immediate, but particularly, we must learn to respond and react to the future needs of our growing industries, businesses, entrepreneurs and organizations. Through time, the Prescott-Russell Community Development Corporation has managed to overcome unstable economic situations and has always been seeking new opportunities to support the economic and social growth of the community of Prescott-Russell.
